Welcome to Ormesby Village Infant School!
We want each and every child to be happy, self-confident and fulfilled, as members of our school and as young citizens of their home communities and the wider world. We want them to know that they are loved and valued and that they have voices which need to be heard and opinions that matter and will be sought. Our school motto ‘Learning to Grow, Growing to Learn’ embodies our desire to create an atmosphere in which they will love to learn and can embark on a life-long journey full of opportunity.
The staff and governors are very proud of our school with its reputation confirmed by the latest Ofsted report as continuing to be Good and states: the leadership team has 'maintained the good quality of education at the school.' The school is 'happy and inclusive,' that 'staff work together as an effective team sharing the passion to ensure that every child has a positive experience of school and enjoys learning'. The inspector observed very good teaching and learning and good behaviour across the school. She inspected the school's safeguarding procedures and found them to have a 'high priority' and so be effective.
It is our privilege to care for your children and we want to make a difference to their lives so that they, in turn, can make a difference to the world in which they live.
