ROAD CROSSING PATROL CONSULTATION

At the Children's Services Committee meeting on 15th November, it was agreed that Norfolk County Council would publicly consult on a proposal to only continue the Road Crossing Patrols that meet the threshold recommended in the national guidance from Road Safety GB. The crossing patrol that supports this school DOES NOT meet the national threshold.

Welcome to Ormesby Village Infant School! We want each and every child to be happy, self-confident and fulfilled, as members of our school and as young citizens of their home communities and the wider world.  We want them to know that they are loved and valued and that they have voices which need to be heard and opinions that matter and will be sought.  Our school motto ‘Learning to Grow, Growing to Learn’ embodies our desire to create an atmosphere in which they will love to learn and can embark on a life-long journey full of opportunity.

The staff and governors are very proud of our school with its reputation confirmed by the latest Ofsted report which states: It is a good school.  Self-evaluation and improvement planning are rigorous.  Pupils enjoy their learning and make good progress from their starting points.  Standards have risen and are consistently above average by the end of Y2.  Pupils behave well and care for each other.  They delight in their learning and carry out their duties with enthusiasm, respecting adults and each other.’

It is our privilege to care for your children and we want to make a difference to their lives so that they, in turn, can make a difference to the world in which they live.  We would be delighted to welcome your children to Ormesby Village Infant School and would be pleased to show you round our school.

The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children’s. For parents and carers this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. For many of us, this can all be a bit too much. You might be struggling to keep up with the things your child is doing online, you might wonder whether what they are doing is safe, and you might also be thinking how can I be as good a parent online as I am offline?
